New Markets…

Calderdale Markets are hoping to hold a monthly Local Produce Market on a Saturday at the end of every month. If viable, the first market will be held at Halifax Borough Market at the end of April 2024, probably outside on Southgate. Ideally, we’d like it to be all food, and when we say food we mean produce rather than ‘street food stalls’. So we’re currently gauging interest to see if it’s feasible. We’re also looking at putting on Makers (Crafts) Markets, and an Artist Market (painting, prints, sculpture, photography etc). We’d like to keep these distinct so each market has specific identities, and they will be held on separate days. However, this will depend on how much interest we receive, as will the cost of the stalls (probably around £20-£30).
